چکیده
The aim of this study was to develop a multiple linear regression (MLR) model predict the specific methane production (SMP) from dry anaerobic digestion (AD) organic fraction municipal solid waste (OFMSW). A data set an experimental test on pilot-scale plug-flow reactor (PFR) including 332 observations used build model. Pearson?s correlation matrix and principal component analysis (PCA) examined relationships between variables. Six parameters, namely total volatile (TVSin), loading rate (OLR), hydraulic retention time (HRT), C/N ratio, lignin content fatty acids (VFAs), had significant with SMP. Based these outcomes, simple three models (MLRs) were developed validated. did not properly describe (R2 = 0.3). In turn, MLR all factors showed optimal fitting ability 0.91). Finally, four uncorrelated explanatory variables feedstock characteristics operating parameters (e.g., TVSin, OLR, content), resulted in best compromise terms number variables, predictive 0.87).

Anaerobic digestion of mechanically treated OFMSW: experimental data on biogas/methane production and residues characterization.
One of the more promising processes for the energetic transformation of waste is the anaerobic digestion of the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW). An experimental campaign was carried out on three different samples of OFMSW from Waste Separation (WS), one as received and two obtained after mechanical treatment (squeezing): OFMSW slurry (liquid fraction) and OFMSW Waste (residual...

2. Production of Biogas by Anaerobic Digestion
Anaerobic digestion is a natural process in which bacteria convert organic materials into biogas. It occurs in marshes and wetlands, and in the digestive tract of ruminants. The bacteria are also active in landfills where they are the principal process degrading landfilled food wastes and other biomass. Biogas can be collected and used as a potential energy resource. The process occurs in an an...
متن کاملApplication of Anaerobic Digestion Model 1 (ADM1) for Prediction of Biogas Production
Anaerobic Digestion Model 1 (ADM1), developed by the International Water Association (IWA) in 2002 is the first and most advanced model applicable for predicting biogas pro-duction and the dynamic processes involved. The model includes parameters after the dis-integration to define substrates in terms of carbohydrates (XCh), proteins (XPr), lipids (XLi) and inert (XI) fractions. Chemical Weende...
متن کاملA new kinetic model for biogas production from co-digestion by batch mode
Coming out from the growth kinetics, the Gompertz model has been developed and considered as the best one for simulating the biogas production from anaerobic digestion. However, the model has failed to describe the starting point of the process, and no-sense of lag phase constant has been pointed out. Thus, the goal of this study is to develop a new kinetic model of biogas production with meani...
